  • What is the camp’s philosophy?
  • At BRSC we are dedicated to providing kids with a fun, safe and care-free summer camp environment where friendships and fond memories are created. All games and activities promote fun and safety while our counselors support and encourage good sportsmanship.

  • What kind of activities are offered at the BRSC?
  • Activities are both indoor and outdoor and are balanced accordingly. These include basketball, baseball, dodge ball, soccer, kickball, tennis, bowling, billiards, movies and occasional day trips.

  • What are the camp’s hours and where would I drop my child off in the morning? 
  • Camp hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. You must drop off and pick up your child at the Camp’s Gymnasium each day through either the 73rd or 74th street entrance.

  • I work. Can I drop my child off or pick him or her up later?
  • Yes. We offer extended hours (after care) beginning at 7:30 a.m. to 8:30a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m The cost per child is $5.00 per hour or any part of.

  • Is there transportation available for my child?
  • Yes. Pick-up and drop-off service is available. The cost is $12.00 per day round trip or $8.00 one way.

  • Can I pay for the camp by credit card?
  • Camp payments can be made by either check or cash ONLY. Balances must be paid in full for each week of camp no later than Tuesday of that week.

  • I paid for a full week for my child but he or she missed a day because of illness or other reason. Can I get a partial refund?
  • Please understand that we hire our staff strictly based on the number of children who enroll in our camp. Regretfully, we are unable to issue any refunds for missed days.

  • What should I pack for my child everyday?
  • We recommend that you pack lunch (including snack and drink) each except Friday; this is free pizza day. Also, all children are required to wear sneakers only; no sandals or open toed shoes. [back to top]

  • Is it OK my child brings his or her game boy to the camp?
  • We strongly recommend that your child NOT bring items such as game boys, ipods, phones, etc, they will run the risk of it being lost, stolen or broken, the BRSC will not be responsible for personal items.
